Most of these birds I have taken previously but i have put them here as they represent so much of my time walking around Tirupati. This is the second year using my 35x zoom Canon camera which also has a more sensitive CMOS detector; see my Snapshots of the Birds of Tirupati

New Birds in 2013                                                           TOP
Crested Hawk Eagle [also called Changeable Hawk Eagle] Feeds on game birds and i guess chickens. This one was in tree on far side of the pond near NCC nagar.
Black-winged Cuckooshrike. A northern bird rarely seen this far south
Orange-headed Thrush (Zoothera citrina var cyanotus) Seen in very shady place by small stream and only at dusk (as in Grimmett guide)

Common Rose Finch. A Himalyan bird come south for the sun
