As usual my visit started in Mahabalipuram in the Golden Sun Beach Resort. I stayed there three days at the start, with my friend Moin who was previously an MSc Biotechnology student.
Most of my time (4 weeks) was in Tirupati near the temple hill town of Tirumula, teaching in Sri Venkateshwara University [SVU].
I worked in the Microbiology and Biochemistry Departments teaching Molecular Biology, Industrial Microbiology and Bioenergetics (total of 30 lectures). I did fewer lectures than usual because the students hostels were closed some of the time, and there were national holidays and strikes.
I stayed in the SVU Guest House, 3km from town on the Bangalore road.
My camera this year is a Canon Power Shot SX10 IS, having 20x optical zoom; and a small Fujifilm JX210 (12Mp, 5xzoom)
